The intelligent Courier Lockers
  • Intelligent locker saves manpower and cost. In mainland China, the couriers SF Express, Yunda, STO, ZTO and the logistic infrastructure provider GLP has installed over 170,000 lockers.
  • Hong Kong is lacking behind with merely 500 sets installed. High rental and strict compliance to property management and safety regulation has retarded the progress.

Online-to-offline Shops
  • Amazon has acquired Whole Foods and Alibaba has been building physical shops. O2O is becoming the norm for New Retail.
  • SF Express has opened thousands community shops to tap on the grocery and fresh food business.
  • O2O shops, apart from convenience stores and the possibly supermarkets, pharmacies and eateries in the neighbourhoods, may provide another way out of the labour shortage.
